Celebrating Diversity and Unity: YEFOSR and Partners take lead in commemorating the International Day of Peace 2025

On September 25, 2025, Youth Empowerment for Self-Reliance (YEFOSR) in collaboration with other Refugee-Led Organizations (RLOs) took the lead in commemorating the International Day of Peace. The event was held in partnership with Refugee Welfare Council (RWC) structures, district leadership, and several international NGOs who came together to celebrate the importance of peace, unity, and collaboration in refugee-hosting communities.
The celebration brought together people from diverse backgrounds, symbolizing the strength that comes from inclusivity and mutual respect. The day was filled with colorful performances as traditional dances from various tribes were showcased, each telling its own story of heritage and resilience. The diversity on display highlighted the richness of different cultures and the beauty of unity that emerges when communities come together in harmony.
Dramas were also performed, focusing on social challenges such as gender-based violence, and encouraging open dialogue and community-driven solutions. These performances not only educated the audience but also fostered collective responsibility toward building a safer and more peaceful environment for all.
